Walter Stewart’s Rings in the Holidays with “Peter’s Stocking” and “Donation Days”

Congratulations to the 43rd winner of the toys in Peter’s Stocking, seven-year-old James Smeed!
The memory of Peter Lewis lives on with his favorite holiday tradition – Peter’s Stocking. Walter Stewart’s also donated toys purchased from New Canaan Toy Store to the Toys for Tots drive. 
Our T-Bill shoppers were also invited to donate their balances to their favorite local non-profits during our annual holiday donations days drive. Together we raised $2430.81 for participating local organizations, including ABC House, NC Food Pantry, and Strays and Others. Customers who would like to participate in the T-Bill Donation Days program may obtain a courtesy card from the store’s customer service staff or sign up online.

Meals on Wheels Holiday Shopping Event Results

Giving thanks and giving back to our community! Thank you to everyone that shopped our annual Meals on Wheels Shopping Event Wednesday! Thanks to your patronage Stewart’s Wine & Spirits donated $1162 to this excellent New Canaan organization that provides meals to homebound residents of New Canaan.

NC Color Drop Coloring Contest Winner

It was very hard to choose just winner but after careful deliberation we have a consensus NC Color Drop coloring contest winner! Congratulations to six-year old Liv Schubert, pictured with CJ Heron, Walter Stewart’s Customer Service Manager, and her prize, a Vigneri “Give Collection” 5 lb. Milk Chocolate Egg!
The New Canaan Scholarship Foundation, (NCSF), welcomes Walter Stewart’s as a title sponsor for the first ever NC Color Drop to be held March 31, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. This event will be live-streamed on NCTV78, Channel 78, for all residents to watch.
There will be second, and third prize winners as well.
The winning balls will be announced immediately. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the scholarship foundation for need based scholarships given to NCHS graduates.
Throughout the years, Walter Stewart’s Market has generously partnered with the foundation, and recognizes the long-standing community effort to provide need based financial aid for the high school graduates pursuing higher education at the undergraduate level.
Golf balls will be available for purchase online beginning March 1, at www.nchs-sf.org/colordrop.
A chance for four passengers to fly in the helicopter during the event will be up for bid as well. For all people’s involved safety, no spectators will be allowed at the event.
