New Canaan Family Fourth @ Waveny! CANCELED
The town has canceled the 2021 Family Fourth Fireworks Celebration that was rescheduled for this weekend. Besides an unsettled weather forecast for Saturday, the town decided to cancel out of an abundance of caution due to the uncertain evolution of the Delta variant in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Family Fourth Committee regrets any inconvenience this may have caused you and the Town will honor all 2021 passes at the 2022 Family Fourth Fireworks Celebration.

Walter Stewart’s compostable produce bags are the only produce bags approved by Curbside Compost for use in New Canaan’s Food Scrap program!

They replace conventional plastic bags, which are bad for the environment because they take between 500 and 1,000 years to degrade. And much of the plastic we use ends up in our oceans.
Understanding double masking
Double masking is a trending topic that has brought awareness to the main stream that regular cloth masks (and surgical masks) alone are not always sufficient protection.
