Now is the peak time to enjoy Minneola Tangelos, also known as “Honeybelles”, a delicious cross between a Dancy tangerine and a Duncan grapefruit with flavor characteristics more like a tangerine than a grapefruit. They are a winter delicacy, bursting with a juice so intensely “orange”, it suggests orange liqueur!

Stewart’s Wine & Spirits, 215 Elm Street,  kicks off a season of seminars and tastings with a focus on vineyards in the Burgundy “gold coast” of France.  Presented by Christian Dalbavie, CSW, French Portfolio Manager for Kobrand, the event on Saturday, March 11 at 4 p.m. will feature eight select wines from the Domaine Louis Jadot.
Included are premium chardonnay and pinot noir offerings, accompanied by appropriate cheeses and pates.
Participants will have the chance to win a Louis Jadot  “mystery wine” as well as enjoy special pricing on the event’s featured Burgundies.

Lake’s Edge Farmstead Goat’s Milk Cheese

Lake’s Edge Goat’s Milk Cheese is the signature cheese of Blue Ledge Farm in Salisbury, Vermont. This  dramatic ash-veined pasteurized goat cheese is aged for three weeks and was named one of the “Best 100 Cheeses of the World” by Wine Spectator Magazine.  Pair with a Chablis, Chardonnay or a light red wine such as a Pinot Noir.
