An old-fashioned Ice Cream Social will take guests on a sweet trip back in time Sunday afternoon, June 5th.  The 27th annual event will be held under the tent on the great lawn of the Historical Society on Oenoke Ridge from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
Along with ice cream and treats, there will be music by The Town Band, games, crafts, demonstrations, reenactors, tours of buildings and an antique and vintage car show. One of the earliest cars in New Canaan, a 1904 Northern, given to Ned Farity as a 16th birthday present, will be featured at this year’s event.  Off campus, the iconic Little Red Schoolhouse on Carter Street will open its door from 1:30-3:30 pm.
Baskin Robbins is in its 25th year as a sponsor donating the ice cream.  Continuing sponsors are Bankwell of New Canaan and Walter Stewarts Market.
