Shearwater Organic Coffee Roasters was founded in 2013 by local Fairfield resident and entrepreneur, Ed Freedman, with a mission to bring premium quality small-batch roasted organic coffee to Fairfield County and neighboring counties in CT. As the exclusive USDA Certified Organic and Fair-Trade coffee roaster in Fairfield County, Walter Stewart’s customers can enjoy Shearwater Coffee at home and choose from a wide selection of single-origin beans and blends from Central and South American, East Africa and Indonesia. Shearwater’s high standards for fresh-roasted organic coffee makes it the choice of many of the leading chefs at Fairfield Counties finest restaurants. And don’t be surprised to find Shearwater Organic coffee being brewed and served at many independent coffee shops throughout Connecticut where quality, authenticity and sustainability are mutually important goals.
