Wave Hill Breads’ Olive & Roasted Red Pepper Ciabatta

Ciabatta photo from Michael SternAward-winning (CT Magazine’s Best of CT winner) local baker Wave Hill Breads started in Wilton in 2005 and Walter Stewart’s was one of their very first clients.  One of their most popular breads is the Olive & Roasted Red Pepper Three Grain Ciabatta which of course is great on its own but is also the perfect bread for Appetizer Sandwiches and Pizza!
What you can do with Wave Hill Breads’ Olive & Roasted Red Pepper Ciabatta
Appetizer Sandwiches – Quick and Tasty
1. Cut the long thin loaf horizontally so you have two flat breads
2. Spread one side with ricotta cheese and then place a few slices of prosciutto on top
3.  Grind fresh pepper to taste
4.  Put the other half on top
5. Cut into strips or squares
Quick Pizza Supper or After-School Snack
1.  Cut the long thin loaf horizontally so you have two flat breads
2.  Put sliced cheese on each piece (Swiss, mozzarella, cheddar)
3.  Top with bacon (you can use a scissor or knife to cut small squares) or sliced onions
4.  Broil until cheese is melted
