Waveny Tailgate Party October 15th

nccc-wpc-tailgateparty-fb-09132016It’s tailgate season, and to celebrate The Waveny Park Conservancy will host its own party in the parking lot at Waveny House on Saturday, October 15, at 5 p.m. This special event, the first ever “tailgate” to be held at Waveny, is limited to the first 160 cars to register. Each car registration includes tickets for up to six people.
The tailgate will feature live music by Joe Scarborough’s band Morning Joe Music. Scarborough, the host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, is a composer with more than 400 songs and a musical to his credit; his most recent work echoes the style of artists like Beck, Gram Parsons, and his idols, the Beatles.
Guests are asked to bring their own food and beverages. Prizes will be awarded for Best Tailgate. The venue will also feature a live fire pit and giant TV screen for coverage of live college football games. A Giving Tree will provide guests the opportunity to support the Waveny Park Conservancy (WPC), which is focused on restoring and enhancing the 130 acres of open space surrounding Waveny House.
Tickets are for two parking sections, Lloyd’s and Lapham’s. The Lloyd spaces will be for a donation of $500 per car and include a Waveny Conservancy Supporter Recognition. Lapham spaces for $250 per car are subject to availability. For more information, or to register for the event, go to www.wavenyparkconservancy.org/tailgate.
