Ron, Tina and the entire New Balance Team invite you to participate in the 7th Annual All Out For Autism Race on Friday, August 21st! Proceeds from this year’s event will help fund a special needs playground at the YMCA.The idea for the Race was spawned in 2009 by Ron and Tina who were surprised by the number of individuals with autism who came into the store. In their ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Ron and Tina and SPED*Net saw an opportunity to extend their mission of health and fitness into the community. The impact of this event’s past success can be seen in Waveny Park’s sensory friendly Fitness Path.

This popular end of summer happening will attract over 600 Runners and Walkers! This Friday the event “kicks” off in front of the New Balance Store at 128 Main Street with a “friendly” competition between Ron Rosenfeld and Tucker Murphy: These two community leaders will be competing in a board-breaking competition that symbolizes the perseverance shown by children with autism as they break through barriers every day. The officiator of this match is Leif Becker, a 2x WORLD RECORD Martial Artist!  Show your support and “Get on Board” by heading to New Balance this week and purchasing a board for $10. The more boards Ron and Tucker break the more money goes towards the new YMCA Playground!
