The Summer Theatre of New Canaan
(Artistic Director, Melody Libonati) will present the world premier and pre-off Broadway run of Merrilee Mannerly – A Magnificent New Musical as the kickoff to its Theater for Young Audiences summer season in Waveny Park, New Canaan, CT. With direction by Ryan Ratelle and choreography by Enrique Brown, Merrilee Mannerly will play performances on Saturday and Sunday mornings June 14 through July 19, 2014.
This fun and energetic new musical is based on Merrilee Mannerly and Her Magnificent Manners the Mom’s Choice Award-winning book by Avon, Connecticut authors Mary Cashman and Cynthia Whipple.  It’s transformation into a musical was conceived by director, Ryan Ratelle who enlisted writer and lyricist William Squier and composer Jeffrey Lodin to collaborate with the authors to transform the book into Merrilee Mannerly – A Magnificent New Musical!  The stage adaptation and score for Merrilee was commissioned by Magnificent Productions and the musical has been optioned for Off-Broadway. With lively music, dancing and lots of laughs, Merrilee Mannerly reminds us all, that “Good Manners are Always in Fashion.”
All shows run Saturday and Sunday mornings and early afternoons. All seats reserved.
